Supporting Students, which is the theme of this September 2016 CTL Connections newsletter, is what we all do at DMU based on our roles. CTL is your partner in that effort. Molly Broad, President of the American Council on Education, said in a new Huffington Post column how critical CTL’s role is to ensure faculty have access to resources to provide effective instruction for student success. “In short, the role of university teaching and learning centers has never been more vital, and the need to help such centers and other faculty professional development programs employ new and innovative teaching tools and techniques aimed at reaching new types of students has never been more urgent.” The DMU Center for Teaching and Learning has been created and staffed for those reasons.
